I said it, i am blasphemous. I don’t have a facebook and like it that way. All my friends always try to get me to create one and I can’t bring myself to conform. And I know your saying “but you can post pictures and talk to people…..” blah blah all the other b.s. features they have put on their. I really think facebook is an excuse to talk to people you used to know but are too afraid to hang out with or have the guts to call on the phone.
My response to my friends is always the same. You want pics of me? I have an email adress. You want to know my favorite movies and books? I have a cell phone. You want to hang out? Again with the cell phone.
I mean I realize its a place where you can find people you used to know, but quite honestly how many of you have let these people you are friends with on this site fade out of your life, then find them on the site, and then start hanging out with them? And of course we already covered the friend finders in class who just care about saying “check me out.” I say facebook in general is saying “check me out” as is myspace. Somebody is more then welcome to change my mind, in fact I invite it cause I would rather just like facebook then have it all around me and it just anger me.
