I cheated this week. While I was supposed to be keeping track of my internet use and adding up the hours I have done little things to lower the number so I would not seem like such a nerd. I unplugged my ether net cable from my xbox which is a few hours and shut off internet on my phone and only allowed emails through.
I have a daily routine sort of when I sign on my laptop. I check both my emails, and my fantasy teams and webct to look for updates; which takes all but 20 min. Starting with Wednesday I only used the internet for an hour or 2 because I was too lazy to set up all my laptop crap at my house where I moved it. Today I have been on for about 30 min at work and this time here. But tonight and tomorrow I will be in Denton so I won’t have a computer to mess with so my internet time this week will be way down from usual. I expect my internet time from this Wednesday to next Wednesday will be around…….12 hours. And thats nothing compared to what I usually do since I keep my laptop on at all times and check things randomly and I am playing Halo or Gears of War on xbox live.
Since summer has started though I have made an effort to keep my online time to the minimum. So in a given week I would honestly say on average I spend about 18 hours online. Some days I don’t sign on at all and others I will be doing hw and fantasy online for like 4 hours. I’ll still keep track the rest of the week – or try – but I’ll update later if my educated guess is wrong.
