Done for the semester

Alright our presentation was the last thing I had to do for the semester and now it is a relif to be done. The presentations were pretty interesting and I thought they were all decent ideas for the target market. Obviously one guy had a personal problem because of his high school experience or something with our college site, but jon basically laid the smack down on him. Redgie brought up a good point to us. He was like, just look at the controversy you created here, that alone makes you know it would do well. People like controversy, and money, and sex on the internet so go with one of those you should be good I guess.

Anyways I got an indoor soccer game, first round of playoffs tonight so again……i am pushing back packing when I move tomorrow so that is not going to be fun at all. I still got a few more posts to go and i start my wintermester class in a couple weeks so really I dont get much time off anyways but….it will be alright I guess.

I aways get caught watching TV while doing these and I lose my train of thought completly – anyways The New Guy is on. Pretty funny; watch it if its ever on if you have nothing to do.

Tomorrow

Ok I just realized what a long day I have tomorrow. Early wake up to look over notes before my final, thats at 10. After that I work til 2:30, then we have our presentations at 4 so Ill have time to run home, shower and eat. Then after class I have an indoor soccer game at 7:30 in addison so Ill have enough time to go home and eat and get changed. I wanted to start packing to move tomorrow but it really looks like I am going to be booked. Its going to make things all the harder Friday when its time to box stuff up. But I keep thinking about how nice it is going to be when this weekend is over, class is done and I am moved into the apartment. But damn, getting there is going to be rough. Then again Ive been bitching alot so I am going to cut that out cause good things are happening its just gonna be tough I guess.

Hopefully Mizzou knocks off OU this Saturday in the Big 12 cause that would make me pretty happy. And Bama beating Florida but the way this season has gone for me I dont see either happening. And Ill be so upset if I get both of these games wrong.

Presentation, not studying, etc

Our group presentations are Thursday and honestly I think our group has a really good idea. Obviously it needs to be tweaked and worked on more but with the right amount of advertising I really think this would be useful to a lot of people. I am interested in what other people have to present. Usually when you get in groups like this it always makes for some interesting ideas.

A problem I forsee….I am still a bit behind on these posts and I get out for the semester tomorrow. After our presentations I am done. I hope I dont forget about this thing. Sort of still playing catch up over here. With all I have going on this weekend its going to be really tough to remember. Me and a buddy get our new apartment and we move friday and dont get internet til Sat and I work Sat and Sun most of the day. Plus I will probably get really drunk this weekend to celebrate.

And I am sitting here writing on this thing watching a movie because I STILL cannot find the motivation to study for my final in Human Genetics tomorrow….and I need a nap……and I need to go get boxes because I havent even begun to pack because I have wanted to use the time to study BUT HAVENT. So really I have just been counter-productive. Really I only need like a 54 on my final. But I dont even go to that class cause the teacher is terrible and he just sits there while we look at slides that he posts on the internet anyways. I havent been to that class since the last test. Ok I need to study but I am probably going to fall asleep.

Ok I realize going through my whole blog its basically my thoughts, what Im doing, so forth. But I mean, what else do i want to blog about. I really dont have anything interesting to show anyone on the internet; I mean we all could use a laugh from a video on youtube but we can all do that on our own . i appreciate when people find something interesting and share it but usually what someone finds interesting a lot of people dont. For instance obviouly I am into college FB and I doubt a lot of people in our class follow it as much as me, or anyone at UTD for that matter but here I go doing the link thing.

If you dont read the article its about Texas Tech’s heisman candidate quarterback. In his last game against Baylor last saturday he broke his hand in nine different places in the 2nd quarter – he then finished the game 41 for 50 passing and led his team to a comeback win scoring the last 21 straight points of the game. Then sunday he had a 4 hour surgery placing 17 small pins and 2 plates into his hand and he is going to play in the teams bowl game. This to me, and to anyone who has watched a football game, is incredible.

Romo comes out for a month with a broken pinkie. This guy plays with the injury, wins the game, has surgery, and is still not missing one snap. I dont care how minor the breaks or fractures were; 17 pins and 2 plates must have been pretty bad. Quite honestly with his numbers already plus this situation where he proves his passion for the game is probably greater then any other, should win him the heisman……but it wont. Because of one game his team lost where he still threw for over 300 yards and 3 TD’s, the loss probably takes him out of the running……which is the dumbest thing ever. This guy should get something greater then the heisman. I love stories like this…….where an athlete plays through some crazy situation. Its even better when he wins the friggin game for his team.

So if I ever hear anything about how Romo uses a different delivery to throw the ball and how him sitting out is justified I am going to tell that person spreading b.s. to ask Harell what got him through the pain. I bet he will say passion for the game and for his team. Romo just wants a paycheck…..and Harrell proved that. A lot of NFL players are the same which is why you have to admire Favre. As much as I hate the guy, his endurance for pain is incredible. At least there are some true athletes out there still.

So I am watching this movie Seven with Brad Pitt, never seen it before. Amazing movie. Spoilers ahead like right now. In the end a man admits to killing Brad Pitts wife while she was pregnant with his baby because he wants to be shot. Brad Pitt shoots him right in the head. It reminds me of this ethics class i took a couple semesters ago, we analyzed clips like this. And I ask myself if I would do the same thing. To be honest, if someone did that to the only people I loved i would have no problem pulling the trigger, but lets say someone kills your spouse but your kids are still alive, then you have to think of what would happen to them if you made that decision. But seriously who wouldnt take a little bit of pleasure in killing someone who caused such emotional pain its probably impossible for a great percentage of us to even speak of.

I had a friend in high school, his mom and grandma were shot by his step dad when he was in his early teens while he was upstairs and they were downstairs – he and his sister survived by jumping off the roof of the second story and getting into her car and driving away. i remember a day we were all sitting at lunch and he got in a verbal argument with another student. it ended with the student yelling “Ya well at least i have a mom.” We were stunned. Just silence around us. We saw our friend emotinally break at that moment, you could feel his pain I swear to God it brought a tear to all of us knowing what he had to go through. Our friend fell into the arms of the school police officer who was coming over to stop the argument and who knew the story of our friend very well.

Now come on, doesnt someone that f*cking stupid deserve at least a little bit of physical pain in reciprocation??? I honestly believe in the eye for an eye thing. If you have ever seen this movie or something like Boondock Saints where this is debated……I am all for pulling the trigger given the situation.

ART IS ACTUALLY OVER

My art class is officially over. No more painting for me ever. I got a B+ or an A- in the class I am not sure yet and really I kind of feel bad because I put no effort whatsoever into this class. I basically got people at work who were artistic to do 60% of the class for me. But come on; does this guy really think I am going to learn to paint in 4 and a half months? Now I just have to get through Thursday and thats it for this semester. I just registered for classes next semester and I am really not looking forward to; I guess I am getting to that point though. Closer to graduation that comes I hear.

Tomorrow I have 2 classes; then a test Thursday and a project due too. Shouldnt be too hard if I just nail through it. But again……..motivation; or lack thereof is killing me. But the fact that I dont have to draw or paint anymore helps so we shall see.

TX vs OU BCS debate

In describing the BCS the commitee says “Every game is considered a playoff game”

If that were true then TX is moving on because they beat OU on a neutral field. The Big 12 is the only conference with such a lack of leadership that it has to turn to the BCS rankings as its tiebreaker. Every other conferece has TX moving on.  I am not a fan of either team at all. But I am a fan of college FB obviously and it just does not make any sense. In any case the scenerio is this…if OU loses then obviously TX has a chance at a BCS championship and same vice versa if TX had been sent to play Mizzou. However OU holds their destiny in their own hands and unless Sam Bradfords hand severly impairs his ability to play (it wont) then Mizzou will fall (they will). The only thing I hope for is that Alabama wins the SEC sending them to the BCS championship and hopefully they beat whoever they play. They are the typical NFL team; defense and a run game. They are a power team. Everyone in the big 12 is a speed team. Usually in college speed dominates power which is a big concern of mine. My 3 most hated teams are OU, TX, and Florida who are 2,3, and 4 in the BCS. I hate Ohio St and USC too but thats besides the point because they have no shot. I would have loved to see Mizzou play Tech for the Big 12 because they are my favorite teams and I would really love to watch a game without being bias and without getting frustrated because my team is losing. I want to just enjoy a game for a big change. Go Bama; and go Mizzou; hopefully Colt McFail punches a wall out of anger and breaks every bone in his hand so Bama can play TX in the championship with Colt sitting on the sideline in a cast haha.

ART IS DONE

I am so exited I have my final meeting in my art class tonight. I basically got caught up on all my assignments. i have about the next 3 hours to do one last painting but it shouldnt be too hard. Im really not motivated at all though so Im afraid its going to turn out really bad.

I cant handle any more art; I would honestly rather write a paper on…….well…..probably anything. Although now that my attention is off art I still have a final Thursday and our class project to finish. Plus I move on friday so finding the time to pack is going to be impossible.  Hopefully I get to motivation just to wrap up the next couple days and get it done. I have a wintermester online class at richland to try and speed up the graduation process. But I have the feeling Im going to put that off like crazy this ‘break’.

Alright Im in the painting mode so Im going to eat and then paint a really crappy painting but still feel good about it because it means Im done.

Change the system……save the world

OK the BCS makes no sense. I really feel the need to vent. Today angers me. I hate TX and I hate OU equally so my opinion is not bias at all here. Last week TX was ahead of OU in the BCS but not the AP – this week it all of a sudden flips and for why? Because OU beat a ranked team thats overrated to begin with??? Computers dont know anything here. If it had not been for ONE PLAY TX would be undefeated. ONE PLAY!!!! Granted I was going for Tech that game but in reality that really is the case. OU was beat…..on a neutral field against TX. That should be it. I think the way the system works if you lose to a rival on a neutral field thats it – your out. TX should logically be going to the Big 12 to face Mizzou.

Now the 2 teams in the Big 12 championship have something in common……a loss to UT. Ok so OU is the hot team right now no doubt; but the system in place calls for them to be second best right now (or it should). Now IF Mizzou pulls off an upset…..then TX goes to BCS championship WHICH DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE EITHER b/c you should win your conference to have an opportunity to win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! I mean you cant disagree…….how are u deserving of a national championship if you were unable to even make it to the conference championship. The problem is the BCS – which; yes, is better then the system who’s place it took but one week the BCS works; the next week its a huge clusterf#ck. Like right now……the problem is all these computers and the information they analyze. Sometimes its as easy as 45-35 on a neutral field; how do you miss that?

Christmas

Its still not technically even december and it amazes me how early people put up lights and trees and listen to xmas music. Im already a little tired of it. It is unreal. By the way who decided the letter ‘x’ was going to appreviate christmas? I dont feel like looking it up right now the OSU-OU game just kicked off so Im going into college football mode which gets me out of ‘angry at xmas music/decorations’ mode.

Its my buddies bday today….and he isnt the slightest bit exited. Wonder why that is? I mean I know nobody cares about 23 but its still a reason to go out and have a good time with friends. I feel like we are forcing him out.  I mean, its his last day in dallas before he goes back to school in colorado so why not have a good night before you have to pack and hop on a flight? Im just going to get him blacked out drunk and carry him back to my place and let him pass out…….Im talking sooo drunk he wont feel feelings muahaha.

Zac robinson jsut threw an interception. I hate OU. I had an argument today with an OU friend about their colors. Who gives half a shit if they are “crimson and creme”? I wouldnt even defend those retarded colors if i went there. I swear to god they are like….brainwashed at that school. them and A&M. I think its just college station and norman there is literally nothing to do. NOTHING. I have been to both and all people do is sit around an apartment and drink…..if they arnt at a bar. So football is all they have to look forward to so they feel some sort of accomplishment in saying their team is better then yours. I have a big problem with some kinds of school spirit by the way. i think people take it way overboard. I understand rooting for your school and hating rivals and stuff but I know people at both schools who take it soooo far overboard they should be hit.
